Yamaha Engine Management

Yamaha Engine Management System (Y.E.M.S) An integrated, computerised management system that controls and adjusts such functions as ignition timing, fuel injection mapping, engine diagnostics and off throttle steering (OTS). The OTS function of Y.E.M.S. activates when the operator releases the throttle lever and attempts to steer the watercraft. This assists the operator in turning while the watercraft is decelerating.

Hyper-flow Jet Pump Propulsion

This is one of the secrets behind the legendary WaveRunner reputation for exhilarating handling and exciting performance. The outstanding ‘bite’ and acceleration is due to such features as a high-flow intake, a Thrust Directional Enhancer and progressive-pitch stainless steel impeller. Ruthlessly precise tolerances within the impeller housing play their part too.

Quick Shift Trim System

The comfortable twist-grip offers smooth, click-by-click control of 5 trim positions within a 24º range. Unique to Yamaha, this system allows tighter turns and more control by offering almost instant changes of trim on-the-fly.

Yamaha Sound Suppression System

YSSS is a technically advanced system that greatly reduces sound intensity levels. It uses an ingenious array of resonators, a through-hull exhaust and special intake baffles to dramatically reduce noise - not just to improve quality of life for our riders, but for other people too.

Easy to read instrumentation

All models (except SuperJet) feature digital multi-function metering with speed, tachometer, fuel level, running hours and battery voltage; plus automatic alerts for low fuel, low oil pressure and overheating. Our FX and FZ models also feature an analogue speedo/tachometer unit.

Remote Security & Low RPM Mode

A button-push on the remote control disables or re-enables the ignition, preventing accidental start-up or an unexpected joyride you haven’t authorised! A special ‘L’ mode (low RPM) can also be engaged by a second button on the remote control, reducing the power available to the rider.

Dual Convex Mirrors

These large and stylish convex mirrors are designed and positioned to give a wide field of vision; they help you keep a watchful eye on passengers and wakeboarders, as well as giving you a clue as to who might be following in your wake!

The intensive programme of ergonomics research at Yamaha has clearly been worthwhile. All WaveRunner seats offer a great feeling of comfort and riding pleasure, whether you're flying along – or taking it easy. The special Cruiser seats are designed to ensure rider comfort over longer distances.

Just pack up & go

Generously sized water-resistant storage facilities, bow lockers and beverage holders, as well as a great deal of useful space for personal items and accessories are featured on most models. Welcome Aboard

Every model welcomes you aboard with comfortable, anti-slip Hydro-Turf mats and the handy re-boarding step (FZS, FX models and VX Cruiser) makes it easy to get out of the water when you’ve been wakeboarding, skiing or swimming. On VX and VX Cruiser models, ease of re-boarding is aided by the extended stern platform.
